Pasuma breaks silence after thugs attack

Legendary Fuji icon, Wasiu Alabi, popularly known as Pasuma, has finally spoken out following reports of an attack on his convoy by suspected thugs in Ikire, Osun State.
The incident, which occurred last Sunday during a visit to the town for a scheduled performance, sparked widespread concern online after a viral video showed visibly damaged vehicles in the singer’s convoy. A voice in the background was heard saying, “We have been attacked in Ikire. They carry guns and shoot us, see Pasuma’s car. But God dey.”
Addressing the incident during a recent live performance, Pasuma clarified what truly transpired and dismissed rumours of gunfire.
“About what happened in Ikire, I have so many committed fans in the town, but there’s no place without a few bad eggs,” the singer said.
According to Pasuma, he was invited to perform at an event in Ikire, but the turnout was overwhelming, with the crowd almost outnumbering the town’s population.
“To accommodate the crowd, a large screen was placed outside the hall. But many of them refused to stay outside. When security tried to control the situation, the troublemakers among the crowd started throwing stones,” he explained.
The veteran musician confirmed that stones thrown by the agitated crowd damaged the windshields of his Hilux and Hummer bus but emphasized that no gunshots were fired.
“There was no shooting. Just some stones breaking the windscreen,” Pasuma assured fans.
He expressed gratitude to his loyal followers and urged them to remain peaceful and respectful at public events.
