A chilling incident has gripped the residents of a community in Enugu State, as a well-known native doctor was reportedly caught by villagers after allegedly kidnapping and burying several victims including a pregnant woman and her mother alive in a soakaway pit within his compound.
According to a viral video circulating on social media, the horrifying discovery was made at night as villagers gathered around the scene. The footage shows locals watching in shock and disbelief as the soakaway pit was being demolished, ultimately uncovering the grim reality of the native doctor’s alleged actions.
Eyewitnesses claim that multiple bodies were recovered from the pit, raising fears that there could be more victims linked to the suspect. Among the deceased were reportedly a pregnant woman and her mother, sparking outrage and grief across the community.
As of the time of filing this report, law enforcement authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, the native doctor, whose identity is yet to be disclosed was said to be well known in the area for his spiritual services.
