Gundogan hails Manchester City professionalism

Ilkay Gundogan has described Manchester City as the most professional club in Europe, reflecting on his return and deep connection with the team despite a challenging season.
Ilkay Gundogan has publicly praised Manchester City, which he considers “the most professional club in Europe”. The German midfielder, who returned to the English side last summer after a brief spell at Barcelona, has highlighted the demands and the level of the club.
At 34, Gundogan acknowledged that he has experienced his most difficult season at the club, but underlined his satisfaction at being part of the squad.
“I still often ask myself how we got into this difficult situation this season,” admitted the German international.
Gundogan claims that his mentality has allowed him to get to this point in his career and he is determined to continue competing at the highest level.
“I still feel more than connected to City. I still feel it as a family, we are still a family in the dressing room, Manchester feels like home to me; it’s not a catch phrase, it comes from my heart. For me, my wife and my kids,” the player concluded.
