Lamine Yamal a sensational talent – Olmo

Spanish national team player Dani Olmo, in a publicity event for ‘la Roja’, described his teammate Lamine Yamal as having his head and feet on the ground.

He wants to keep growing, the player from Terrassa openly assured about the talented Barca gem.

Dani Olmo acknowledged that Lamine Yamal, a teammate at Barcelona and the Spanish national team, is “a quiet kid” who has his “feet on the ground”, focused only on “continuing to grow and improve”, without being affected by praise or sounding like a candidate for the Ballon d’Or.

“Lamine is a normal kid and has personality. You don’t have to know how to handle him because he has his head and feet on the ground. He knows that by working hard and hand in hand with the team, we can achieve great things. That’s what we did last year with the national team and this year with Barcelona,” said the playmaker at the presentation of a new advertising agreement with the national team.

For the player from Terrassa, nothing will affect Yamal’s development, nor will he see himself among the contenders for the next Ballon d’Or. “He’s a quiet, hard-working kid who wants to keep growing and improving. He is already one of the best, he has proven it, but he wants to keep growing”.

That new generation of players led by the young ‘Cule’ star and the good harmony that exists with the most veterans, such as Olmo, defended that it is key to the success of the Spanish national team to give shape to the good run they are on.

“It’s a good mix. We have a very solid group in which everyone contributes their bit, both young and older players and players with more experience and games. In the end, we are all on the same page. The common goal is to continue winning things with the national team for the whole country,” he said.

And he focused on next Thursday’s duel, the reunion with France, in the semifinals of the Nations League.

“It’s a semifinal, but as if it were a final. We have to win, we are motivated preparing for the match. We had good feelings against them in the last European Championship, and the desire for revenge although they will not be lacking, we are ready to get the ticket to the final,” he said at an event in which the ‘la Roja’ joined their way to Ebro, symbol of the national automotive industry, which becomes the official vehicle until 2028.
