Speculation as Trump stumbles while boarding plane

U.S. President Donald Trump, 78, briefly lost his footing while ascending the stairs of Air Force One in New Jersey, drawing comparisons to a series of past incidents involving his political rival, Joe Biden.

The stumble occurred shortly after Trump addressed members of the press. As he climbed the steps to board the aircraft, he appeared to miss a step but quickly regained his balance and continued up without assistance.

Upon reaching the top, Trump turned to the media and raised his signature clenched fist — a gesture widely interpreted as a reassurance that he was fine.

Observers noted that Trump, who is just a few months into his second tenure as president, seemed to be dragging his feet slightly. Some speculated that fatigue might have contributed to the momentary misstep.

The incident has created fresh speculation online, with many recalling Trump’s past remarks about Biden’s stair troubles. In 2021, Biden stumbled multiple times while boarding Air Force One, a series of clips that Trump and his supporters repeatedly cited as evidence of Biden’s declining health and fitness for office.

Trump, who has often portrayed himself as physically and mentally sharper than his Democratic opponent, used those Biden stumbles to bolster his campaign narrative. Now, critics are using this latest incident to turn the tables, suggesting it might be Trump’s turn to face scrutiny.
