Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the recent massacre in Yelewata, Benue State, where over 200 people were reportedly killed in a brutal night-time attack.

In a post shared on his social media platforms, Fani-Kayode said he was “at a loss for words” following the tragic incident, which took place just two days ago. The former minister described himself as “truly brokenhearted” by the scale of the bloodshed, and questioned how long such violence would continue unchecked in the country.

“I am at a loss for words about the massacre of 200 innocent souls in Yelewata, Benue State two days ago. Truly brokenhearted!” he wrote. “When will this madness stop! Who will rid us of these murderous barbarians?” he added, ending with broken heart emojis.

His post has since gone viral, with many Nigerians echoing similar concerns and demanding decisive action from the federal government and security agencies to end the persistent killings in Benue and other parts of the country.

Fani-Kayode’s reaction adds to the growing national and international outrage over the Yelewata massacre, with public figures, activists, and religious leaders calling for justice and urgent intervention.
