Transfer: Inzaghi contacts Osimhen amid new €160m offer

Al Hilal coach Simone Inzaghi has reportedly contacted Victor Osimhen again, with the hope of convincing the Nigerian striker to join the club, who have now proposed a mouthwatering €160 deal for the player.
Inzaghi joined Al Hilal after guiding Inter Milan to the final of the UEFA Champions League against PSG and he first suggested the signing of Osimhen after he was appointed.
According to II Mattino, the Italian coach has again contacted the striker that his best destination is the Saudi club.
As per Napoli Calcio News, the latest offer presented to the Nigerian forward is a whopping €160m package for a three-year deal, which would see him earn over €40m in a season.
Osimhen had turned down previous offers by the Saudi giants as he is understood to be waiting for potential interest from elite European clubs.
He has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal while Liverpool have also joined the list of Premier League giants to have inquired about the player.
According to a report via Sports Mole, Serie A champions Napoli are rooting for the Nigerian striker to join Liverpool during the summer transfer window, but the player is currently favouring a move to their Italian rivals Juventus.
The 26-year-old’s Napoli contract which expires next summer contains a release clause set at €75m (£64.2m), but that option is supposedly only valid for foreign clubs, meaning that Juventus would have to directly negotiate a fee with their Calcio rivals.
At the moment, Al Hilal are the only club who have shown serious intent to pay Napoli the release clause.
Osimhen has been the subject of a summer move away from Napoli, after completing a loan spell at Galatasaray where he scored 37 goals plus eight assists in 41 games across all competitions.
After helping the Turkish giants to a domestic double last season, Galatasaray are also said to be interested in keeping the player.
His relationship with Napoli seems irreparable and the Nigeria international is set to depart Naples with a record of 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 matches for the club since 2020, winning one Serie A crown in the 2022/23 campaign.
