Family, friends celebrate jailed Ike Ekweremadu’s birthday

Family members and friends have gathered to mark the 62nd birthday of jailed former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
A former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh was among others who attended the Sunday event.
A UK court had sentenced Ekweremadu to a total of nine years and eight months imprisonment in May 2023.
His wife, Beatrice, was sentenced to four years and six months imprisonment for plotting to harvest a man’s kidney.
Despite Ekweremadu’s absence, Metuh celebrated the occasion alongside Ekweremadu’s daughters and other family members.
