Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola popular known as Portable, has declared that he is now “the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) ambassador”.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Portable shared photos of himself, his father, and some police officers in Lagos.
In the accompanying caption, the 30-year-old singer described himself as a “federal government liability”.
He said “police is our friend” while declaring himself “a police ambassador”.
“Zazu federal government liability. Omo ijoba police ambassador,” he said.
“I do music for a living. Stars don’t beg to shine. Akoi grace wey no dey disgrace.
“I no fit run from God that’s all, my believe in God is over everything. After God na government. Police is our friend. Any disappointment is a blessing.”
It remains to be seen if the police appointed Portable as its ambassador.
Born Habeeb Okikiola, Portable gained fame in December 2021 with the release of ‘Zazoo Zeh’, his hit single featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.
The singer is known for making headlines over controversial reasons.
On May 14, Portable was arrested by the Lagos state police command for allegedly failing to pay the debt he incurred after purchasing his G-Wagon from a car dealer.
The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker was said to have bought the vehicle worth N27 million but paid only N13 million.
Portable allegedly refused to pay the remaining N14 million and whenever the car dealer requested his money, he always claimed the vehicle was having issues.
The singer also jumped over a gate while attempting to evade arrest.
