Tinubu: As we move to 200 Level, by Andrew Agbese

Congratulations fellow students. By next week, God willing, we shall be moving to 200 Level in this four year course we have chosen for ourselves.
The first year has been very difficult. No accommodation; no transport; no bursary; no loans; no meal subsidy; insecurity on campus etc.
The 100 Level was difficult. I don’t even know how we survived.
The lecturers were tough sha. It was as if they were competing over who among them will be the meanest to students.
Immediately the new VC introduced Hardship 101:(Removal of Fuel Subsidy) as a general course, all the lecturers began to introduce loads to make their courses even more difficult.
The Lecturer that takes Hardship 102: (Finance MisManagement), decided to add Floating the naira to the course work.
The one that takes us Hardship 105: (Fundamentals of Lack of Power Supply) now categorised us into bands. And threw me into Band ‘A’ without asking if I have the capacity to manage.
The Lecturer on Finance Management even wanted to charge students for depositing money in their banks. It was when we shouted that the VC told him to suspend action.
If 100 Level can be this tough, I wonder how 200 Level would be.
Fellow students, let’s continue to pray for our university.
