No man can shake you, Odili tells Gov Fubara

The former Governor of Rivers State, Peter Odili, has once again thrown his support behind the administration of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
During the commission of the Omoku-Egbema Road on Saturday, Odili urged Fubara to remain steadfast and confident, assured him that the people of Rivers State are firmly behind him.
Odili urged Fubara to continue focusing on initiatives that benefit the people, stating that the projects undertaken by the current administration have garnered confirm public support ahead of the 2027 elections.
“Don’t be afraid because when the people are with you, be assured that God is with you and no man can shake you,” said Odili, who served as governor from May 1999 to May 2007.
The relationship between Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, has been strained over the past year.
In April 2024, Wike, who is now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), publicly acknowledged the deterioration of his relationship with Odili, whom he had previously referred to as his “father”.
Wike served as governor of the oil-rich South-South state from May 2015 to May 2023 before being appointed as a minister by President Bola Tinubu.
