Air Peace reacts to U.S. fraud charges against CEO

Air Peace has officially responded to recent reports regarding fraud charges brought by the U.S. Department of Justice against its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Allen Onyema, and Chief of Finance/Administration, Mrs. Ejiro Eghagha.
Air Peace reassured the public of its commitment to transparency, stressing that it is fully engaged with the ongoing legal process and urges patience as the case unfolds.
In a statement released on Sunday, Air Peace addressed the concerns surrounding the charges, acknowledging that the matter remains in court.
“We understand that these reports may have caused concern, and we wish to address them directly,” the statement read.
The airline clarified that the recent charges are an extension of earlier allegations related to financial misconduct that occurred several years ago. However, it emphasized that the charges remain mere allegations and that no conclusions should be drawn until the legal process is completed.
“Our legal team is fully involved in this case and working tirelessly to ensure justice is served. We remain confident that due process will reveal the truth, leading to the exoneration of our CEO and co-defendant,” Air Peace stated.
The airline further explained that Dr. Onyema and his legal representatives have cooperated with authorities throughout the investigation and have maintained a stance of transparency.
Despite the legal challenges, Air Peace reassured the public that its operations remain unaffected, with a continued focus on providing safe, reliable services.
“We want to assure the public that these proceedings will not interfere with Air Peace’s day-to-day operations. The safety and reliability of our services remain our utmost priority,” the airline added.
