Aisha Yesufu rejects old national anthem
The controversial activist, Aisha Yesufu, has publicly rejected the newly adopted national anthem, choosing to sit during its recitation at a recent event.
Yesufu had shared the video of her protest with the caption #NotMyNationalAnthem on her X account on Friday.
This move comes after President Bola Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law, reinstating the old anthem “Nigeria, We Hail Thee”
