Aiyedatiwa sacks all commissioners

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has dissolved the State Executive Council, terminating the appointments of all commissioners with immediate effect.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the governor announced the retention of two cabinet members deemed critical to the administration’s operations. Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, remains the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, while Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac retains her role as Commissioner for Finance.

Governor Aiyedatiwa directed the outgoing officials to hand over all government property in their possession to the respective accounting officers of their ministries.

Expressing gratitude, he commended the commissioners for their service and contributions to the progress of Ondo State, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
