Asake announces new record label after dumping Olamide’s YBNL

Popular singer, Ahmed Ololade, professionally known as Asake has officially parted ways with Olamide’s YBNL Nation.
Asake announced his departure by releasing his latest single, “Why Love,” on his label, Giran Republic.
Although rumours of a rift between Asake and Olamide had been circulating, Asake had seemingly silenced them with his previous single, “Military,” which paid homage to Olamide.
Asake initially signed with YBNL Nation in February 2022 and secured a distribution deal with Empire in July 2022.
His departure from YBNL does not affect his ongoing partnership with Empire.
