Atletico eye Club World Cup glory – Barrios

Pablo Barrios, the Atletico Madrid’s star, is clear about his team’s objective in the Club World Cup. “We are going to win,” he said ahead of their debut against PSG.
Pablo Barrios assured on Thursday that Atletico Madrid face next Sunday’s match against PSG, which will mark their debut in the Club World Cup in the United States, “with great enthusiasm” and “wanting to give everything”.
“We come to win, we come with a lot of illusion. The team is fine, those of us who are here are working hard and we’re going to wait for the others who are still to come to give everything,” said the Atletico youth player in the mixed zone at the end of the first training session at the Memorial Coliseum stadium in Los Angeles.
PSG “have shown this year that they are a great team, but that encourages us to give everything to win it,” he added.
“They have proven to be a great team and I doubt they will slow down the pace with which they have been playing and I’m sure they will make things very difficult for us,” he said.
The team is “very excited” about this new tournament, in which they will play the group stage in Los Angeles against PSG and Botafogo, although in between they will travel to Seattle to play the second match against the Seattle Sounders on June 19th.
“We are going to do our thing, to try to do our best, to give our all this last stretch of the season and try to finish in the best way,” he concluded.
