Bauchi forum criticises Senator Buba, threatens recall over failure to deliver

The Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Shehu Buba Umar has been berated for allegedly failing to deliver on his campaign promises to the people.
The allegation was made by a political pressure group known as Concern Citizens Forum during a press conference held on Sunday.
The group thereby issued a stern warning to the Senator to retrace his political footprint and correct the process in line with his pre-election campaign promises.
The Bauchi South Concern Citizens Forum also gave the Senator One week to correct his mistakes, failing which it will mobilize its members and other constituents to proceed with the recall process.
The forum, which comprises members from all Seven local government areas of Bauchi South, has threatened to recall the Senator if he does not shape up.
According to Hon. Nasiru Saidu Hardo, who read the press statement, Senator Shehu Buba has failed to deliver at the green chamber, despite his promises during the electioneering campaign.
“Senator Shehu Buba has failed to provide effective representation to the people of Bauchi South,” Hon. Hardo said.
He stressed that, “He has not initiated any meaningful project or program to benefit our people. We are giving him a last chance to correct his mistakes, failing which we will proceed with the recall process.”
The Forum has also vowed to take the grievances of the members to the electoral bodies, ensuring that the Senator was held accountable for his actions.
“We will not hesitate to take our complaints to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant authorities,” Hon. Hardo said.
According to him, “We demand that Senator Shehu Buba provides effective representation to our people, or face the consequences.”
