Breaking: APC loses chieftain to death in Delta

Jesutega Onokpasa, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Delta State, has passed away after a prolonged battle with a health condition.
News of his death was shared on Tuesday via a social media post by one of his political associates, creating an outpouring of tributes from colleagues and supporters.
A trained lawyer and a well-known political commentator, Onokpasa was a key figure in the APC’s media and publicity machinery. He served as a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 general elections and was an active voice on the party’s publicity committee.
He regularly appeared on national television, where he passionately defended the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and promoted the APC’s agenda.
However, in a in recent months, Onokpasa publicly withdrew his support for President Tinubu’s potential re-election bid in 2027. He expressed disappointment over what he described as neglect of loyal party members by the current administration, citing it as the reason for his change in stance.
