Breaking: Atlast! UAE lifts travel ban on Nigerians

The Federal Government and the UAE have come to an understanding, lifting travel restrictions for Nigerian citizens, effective immediately.
A statement issued by Minister Mohammed Idris on Monday revealed that the move was a consequence of fresh and vigorous discussions between the two nations.
It reads : “Following successful talks and extensive, mutually beneficial negotiations between the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria @NigeriaGov, an agreement was reached allowing for the resumption of travel to the UAE for Nigerian passport holders.
As part of this agreement, the UAE has introduced revised regulations and requirements to streamline the process of obtaining a visa, making it more accessible and efficient for Nigerian citizens.
Starting from July 15, 2024, the issuance of visas will resume, marking a new phase in the relaxed travel restrictions between the two countries.
