Breaking: Finally, Akwa Ibom Governor joins APC

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has finally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Governor announced his defection in an event that took place at the Government House, Uyo, on Friday, June 6.
The defection ceremony drew key APC leaders from across the country.
“We’re not joining the APC from a position of weakness, but from a position of strength. We’re bringing value to Akwa Ibom State. We’ve come into the APC with a ministry of reconciliation,” the governor said.
With the development, the states under the control of the PDP has been reduced to just ten: Adamawa, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Enugu, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Taraba, and Zamfara.
