Breaking: Gbajabiamila, Akpabio, Akume, others meet labour leaders over looming strike


The Chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Tajudeen Abbas are currently meeting the leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and affiliate bodies over looming strike.
The organised labour are expected to commence nationwide strike on Monday June 3, 2024.
The emergency meeting with the labour leaders and some Ministers is expected to persuade the labour unions to suspend their planned strike.
The meeting is holding at the Senate Wing of the National Assembly.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi, and some other ministers are also at the emergency meeting.
