Breaking: Kogi government mourns former deputy governor

The Kogi State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Deputy Governor Patrick Adaba, who died at the age of 79.
In an official statement, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, described Adaba as a selfless leader whose contributions were instrumental in shaping the early development of Kogi State.
Adaba, who served as Deputy Governor under the late Prince Abubakar Audu, was widely respected for his integrity, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to governance.
Governor Usman Ododo extended heartfelt condolences to Adaba’s family and the people of Kogi State, acknowledging his pivotal role in the state’s progress. The government emphasized that even after leaving office, Adaba remained a guiding force, offering valuable insights on governance matters.
His passing, the government noted, is a significant loss to his family, the Ebira nation, and Kogi State as a whole. While mourning his demise, the government expressed hope that his enduring legacy would continue to inspire future generations.
Prayers were also offered for the repose of his soul.
