Breaking: Nigerians mourn as former minister loses only son


Richard Adamu Tallen, the only son of former Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, has tragically passed away at the age of 42.
He died on Sunday morning at Cedar Crest Hospital, Abuja, following a brief illness.
According to reports, Richard had been admitted to the hospital and placed on oxygen support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Friday night. Despite medical intervention, the cause of his death remains undisclosed at this time.
Richard, a graduate of Computer Science from a university in the United States, is survived by his wife and three children. His passing has left the Tallen family and many who knew him in shock and mourning. The family has assured that details of his burial arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
In a heartfelt tribute, the Vom Old Boys’ Association (VOBA), where Richard was an alumnus, also confirmed his death on their social media platform. The group wrote:
“On a very sad note, we regret to announce the sudden passing of our member, Mr Richard Adamu Tallen. Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May the soul of Richard and all departed VOBA members rest in peace.”
Richard’s passing has prompted an outpouring of condolences from family, friends, and well-wishers, as many reflect on the life of a devoted father and accomplished professional.
