Breaking: Tension in Lagos as Police detonate explosive device ahead of protest

Lagos State Police Command anti-bomb squad has deactivated an improvised explosive device in the Ikeja area of the state.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this on Wednesday.
He said the device, which was wrapped in a bag, was dropped by the roadside from an unregistered vehicle along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way.
The development has caused tension ahead of August 1st scheduled protest.
