Camavinga suffers injury blow ahead of Real Madrid’s Club World Cup opener

Eduardo Camavinga underwent specific work just hours before Real Madrid’s Club World Cup opener.
The French midfielder hopes to overcome his recovery process and be able to play in the competition.
Xabi Alonso went through a tactical phase and series of six-on-six games in the second training session at Palm Beach on Monday, working behind closed doors before welcoming a large group of fans to sign autographs.
Real Madrid, who will make their FIFA Club World Cup debut against Al Hilal on Wednesday, arrived at the sports centre and the players began with a workout in the gym before taking to the pitch, the club said. Xabi Alonso planned a series of activation exercises on the pitch with and without the ball, before preparing for the tactical study for the clash with the Saudi team.
Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga underwent specific work to continue his recovery process. After some six-on-six games, the Real Madrid players finished the session with shots on goal to calibrate their aim ahead of the opener.
Afterwards, the club opened its doors to a group of sponsors and fans who were able to chat with the players and ask for autographs. Xabi Alonso’s squad will return to work on Tuesday, on the eve of the Club World Cup opener.
