Chelsea Football Club on Thursday announced the departure of two players on loan, with both set to join new clubs for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
The Premier League club made the announcement through separate statements posted on their official website.
Midfielder Julia Barrel and forward Aimee Claypole are the two players making the move.
Barrel has completed a loan transfer to Women’s Super League rivals Liverpool for the remainder of the season.
The 20-year-old, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2024 with a three-year contract, made her Blues debut in October in the UEFA Champions League. She came on as a substitute in a 3-1 win over FC Twente in the Netherlands.
Claypole, 19, has secured a loan move to Championship club Durham for the rest of the campaign. She has made three appearances for Chelsea since her debut during the 2022/23 season. Earlier this term, she spent time on loan at Swedish club Linköping, where she played 12 matches and netted three goals, including one on her league debut.
