Cubana Chief Priest fires back at critics over viral photo of kneeling before VP Shettima

Popular nightlife promoter and socialite, Cubana Chief Priest, has responded to the backlash he received on social media after a photo of him kneeling before Vice President Kashim Shettima went viral.
The image, which surfaced days ago, showed the celebrity entrepreneur kneeling while visiting the vice president alongside award-winning singer, Davido. The gesture quickly became a trending topic, with many Nigerians accusing him of attempting to curry favour with political elites.
In a swift response to his critics, Cubana Chief Priest took to social media to share a throwback photo of himself and his wife both kneeling during an earlier visit to the Vice President’s residence.
Defending his actions, he wrote:
“Una dey cry say I kneel. Me and my beloved wife sef join kneel the first time I visited the residence of the VP…”
His reaction has created fresh debate online, with some netizens supporting the show of respect, while others maintain that public figures should be more mindful of how their actions are perceived in the political landscape.
