Edo guber: Labour Party dispels rumors, says Olumide Akpata still in race

The Labour Party has issued a stern disclaimer, dismissing reports that its Edo State governorship candidate, Olumide Akpata, has stepped down from the election.
The party described these claims as “completely false” and “malicious rumours” spread by opposing parties.
According to the Labour Party, these rumours aim to misinform the public, create confusion, and undermine Akpata’s resolve to serve the people of Edo State.
“We remain fully committed to the electoral process and are actively participating in the race to bring about positive change and progress to Edo State,” the party stated.
