El-Rufai commends Tinubu on Shehu Dikko’s appointment

Member of the House of Representatives representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Bello El-Rufai, has commended President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Shehu Dikko as the Chairman of the newly created National Sports Commission.
El-Rufai described Dikko as a perfect fit and a seasoned sports administrator.
As part of his cabinet reshuffling, Tinubu had scrapped the Ministry of Sports Development.
Presiding over the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meetings, Tinubu said the newly created National Sports Commission will take over the role of the Ministry of Sports.
Reacting, El-Rufai assured that Dikko would deliver on his expectations.
Posting on X, he wrote: “Congratulations to a dear Uncle, Mallam @ShehuDikko. He is a brilliant businessman and sports executive. His appointment as the Chairman of the newly created National Sports Commission by His Excellency, President @officialABAT is perfect fit. He is a seasoned sports administrator and I have high expectations of what he will do in the industry.
“As the ‘‘Chairman of the League Management Company responsible for the management of the Nigerian Professional Football League, he was previously a consultant for the Nigerian House of Representatives on Sports committee.’’
“He is an advocate of sports as a business and the public should expect huge investments in the sports arena by the grace of God. May God guide him as he reforms an industry with limitless potential, particularly when it comes to engaging the teeming young people that are highly skilled in various sports. You have our full support and prayers.”
