Emulate Christ’s Love, pray for Nigeria’s prosperity, Kalu urges Christians

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has called on Nigerians to embody the selfless love and sacrifice exemplified by Jesus Christ as Easter joy resonates across the nation.

In a statement to commemorate the 2025 Easter celebrations, Kalu emphasized Christ’s teachings of compassion, forgiveness, and kindness, urging citizens to emulate these virtues.

The Deputy Speaker said that Christ showed the ultimate example of selfless love and sacrifice, adding that His resurrection symbolizes hope and redemption.

Kalu also enjoined the people to pray for Nigeria’s unity, peace, and prosperity, expressing optimism that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration would continue to work tirelessly for the nation’s progress.

He said: “As we celebrate Easter, let us reflect on Christ’s teachings and emulate His love, compassion, and kindness. May this festive period bring Nigerians joy, peace, and unity, and may our nation be blessed with prosperity and stability”.
