Breaking: Fire ravages popular Aleshinloye market in Ibadan, properties destroyed

A massive fire engulfed Aleshinloye Market in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on Tuesday night, leaving traders in distress as properties worth millions of naira were reduced to ashes.
Confirming the incident, the General Manager of Oyo State Fire Services, Akinyemi Akinyinka, stated that firefighters were actively battling the blaze. “Our men are currently working at Aleshinloye Market,” he assured, promising to provide further updates as the situation unfolds.
Although the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, videos circulating on social media show flames consuming several sections of the market, with thick smoke billowing into the night sky.
As emergency responders continue their efforts to contain the inferno, affected traders are left counting their losses, fearing the worst for their businesses. Authorities are expected to conduct an investigation into the cause of the fire once it is fully extinguished.
