He is the son of the late Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi, the former Elemona of Ilemona.

He serves as the aide-de-camp (ADC) to President Bola Tinubu.

Yusuf graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical-Electronics Engineering from the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna.

Royal Military Academy Sandhurst:

He attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom between 2004 and 2005.

Advanced Military Training:

He completed the Nigerian Army Intelligence School’s Tactical Intelligence Officers and Security Investigations courses in 2008.

Yusuf has received military training in various countries including Mali, Pakistan, China, Israel, and the United Kingdom.
