INEC condemns Obaseki’s midnight visit to collation centre

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has condemned the surprise visit by Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, to its collation centre on Sunday.
Thediscovererng.com reports that Obaseki arrived unannounced at 2 AM, protesting anomalies in result collation, but was escorted out by security forces at 4:10 AM.
INEC’s National Commissioner, Mohammed Haruna, described the move as “uncalled for” and emphasized that disruptions to the electoral process won’t be tolerated. “Nobody should disrupt the process at any stage, and no one will benefit from lawlessness,” Haruna stated.
