James Faleke: A Representative without borders, by Yakubu Dati

As Nigeria marks two years under the dynamic leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we celebrate not just the milestones of governance but also the unwavering dedication of Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, a man who has laboured behind the scenes for the success of this administration.
This true warhorse and political strategist whose loyalty, stamina, and tireless efforts helped shape the Renewed Hope agenda is bringing joy to the grassroots on this auspicious occasion.
The Ikeja constituents of Hon. James Faleke are upbeat with excitement at the ongoing empowerment programme where he is distributing 36 tricycles, 40 deep freezers, 65 industrial machines, 27 popcorn machines, 33 clipper machines, 71 grinding machines and 18 generators. He has also distributed hundreds of dispatch motorcycle machines, security gear (raincoats, rain boots and batons), sewing machines, juice extractors, air compressors and crop chemicals, among others, to mark the 2 years of President Bola Tinubu.
As a paragon of grassroots mobilisation, he is putting together a separate Sallah package includes 20 bags of rice for each of the 18 wards in Ikeja Federal Constituency, 8 cows per local council, and 14 bags of 50kg rice per local government (25kg each for members and 1 full bag for LGA Chairmen), while community members have been given 10,000 packs of 5kg garri and 8,000 packs of 5kg rice amidst several goodies.
A record 170 constituents are receiving skill acquisition training with cash grants.
From the campaign trail to national service, Hon. Faleke has demonstrated uncommon commitment, resilience, and belief in the vision of a greater Nigeria.
His journey from local governance to national prominence underscores a steadfast commitment to community development and inclusiveness.
As a ranking member of the parliament, he deployed his legislative sagacity in coordinating and accommodating diverse opinions towards the passage of the four (4) tax reform bills that initially threatened the fabric of unity and peaceful coexistence.
Faleke’s political odyssey commenced in 2003 when then-Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed him as the pioneer Executive Secretary of the newly established Ojodu council, where he rose through the ranks to become a ranking member of the House of Representatives.
Faleke’s unwavering dedication has earned him accolades, including commendation from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who acknowledged his invaluable contributions and loyalty over the years. His innovative approach to politics, characterised by humility, accessibility, and a focus on service delivery, continues to inspire and set a benchmark for effective representation.
Hon. James Abiodun Faleke’s political trajectory exemplifies the impact of grassroots mobilisation, strategic leadership, and a relentless commitment to public service, making him a distinguished figure in Nigeria’s political landscape.
Today, we salute President Tinubu for his bold steps toward economic reform, national unity, and institutional rebuilding as we honour Hon. James Faleke, whose steadfast support continues to inspire confidence in this transformative journey.
