Kalu congratulates Shettima on 58th birthday

Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has felicitated the Vice President Kashim Shettima on the occasion of his 58th birthday.
Kalu in a statement described Shettima as a patriot who loves Nigeria and has made invaluable contributions to its development.
He recalled that in the most challenging years of insurgency in the North East, the Vice President as a former governor of Borno State stood firm in his resolve to combat insecurity and terrorism.
Also as a Senator who represented Borno Central from 2019 to 2023, Kalu said Shettima made several legislative interventions that helped to improve the lives of his immediate constituents and Nigerians in general.
The Deputy Speaker also noted that the Vice President is delivering on the mandate of his present office.
Further describing the Vice President as an advocate of peace, Kalu recalled with deep appreciation the noble role Senator Shettima played during the unveiling of the Peace In South East Project (PISE-P), emphasising that his presence at the landmark event that held in Bende, Abia State on December 29, 2023 as the representative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a huge honour.
While praying to God for the blessing of many more years in good health, Kalu joined numerous friends of the Vice President and indeed, the rest of the country in wishing Vice President Shettima a splendid birthday celebration.
