Kastina acting governor, Jobe extols Babangida on 83rd birthday

The Acting Governor of Katsina State, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, has extolled former Nigerian military president and statesman, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Rtd.) on the occasion of his 83rd birthday anniversary.
In his congratulatory message, the Acting Governor described General Babangida as a distinguished statesman whose contributions to the nation’s development remain indelible.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, I congratulate General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, on his birthday. Your leadership and vision continue to inspire generations of Nigerians,” said Malam Jobe.
The Malam Jobe particularly highlighted the creation of Katsina State in 1987 under General Babangida’s administration, describing it as a landmark decision that has significantly impacted the socio-economic development of the region.
“We remain grateful for the foresight that led to the creation of our dear state during your tenure as Military President. This decision has been pivotal in shaping our growth and development over the past decades,” Malam Jobe added.
The Malam Jobe, however, prayed for General Babangida’s continued good health and wisdom, expressing hope that the nation will continue to benefit from his wealth of experience in governance and national unity.
“The Government and people of Katsina State join well-wishers across the nation in celebrating this elder statesman on his special day,” he said.
