Landlord slumps, dies during argument in Ogun

Tragedy struck in Aribabu village, Sotubo, Ogun State, when a landlord, identified as Apeh Benjamin, lost his life following a violent altercation with his tenant.
According to report, the argument was triggered by the tenant’s unpaid rent.
The tenant, known only as Emmanuel, had previously threatened to harm the landlord, during their heated argument.
The Ogun State Police Command revealed on Monday that the landlord succumbed to his injuries and slumped to his death at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The command’s spokesman, Omolola Odutola, assured that investigations were ongoing to ascertain the actual cause of the death.
“One Apeh Benjamin of Aribabu village, Sotubo Ogun State a landlord slumped, and died at about 0630hrs on 2nd of June, over a heated argument with one Emmanuel his tenant who threatened to kill his landlord, over indebted rent.
“Investigation is on,” she said.
