Mbappe congratulates PSG on winning first-ever Champions League

Kylian Mbappe took to social media on Saturday to congratulate PSG on their historic Champions League victory. The Real Madrid forward, who spent seven seasons at the Parc des Princes after joining from Monaco in 2017, sent a brief but heartfelt message to his former club.
“The big day has finally arrived. The win – and the style of a whole club. Congratulations, PSG,” Mbappe posted on his Instagram stories. His words reflected a clear nod to the club where he spent the bulk of his professional career from 2017 to 2024.
The French star left the Parc des Princes in pursuit of Champions League glory with Real Madrid. However, fate took an unexpected twist as Luis Enrique’s PSG side capped off a memorable campaign with a commanding 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in Munich.
Mbappe had previously featured in PSG’s last Champions League final appearance, when they were defeated by Bayern Munich on 23 August 2020.
Five years on, the forward is still waiting to lift the coveted trophy, while the club that once propelled him into the spotlight has secured their place among Europe’s elite.
