NFF unveils Eric Chelle as Super Eagles coach

Eric Chelle has been officially unveiled as the new head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The ceremony took place, Monday at the media conference room of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed Chelle’s appointment last Tuesday, making him the 42nd substantive head coach of the Super Eagles.
A former Mali international, the 47-year-old has been tasked with reviving Nigeria’s faltering 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
The Super Eagles are currently in fifth place in Group C, with three points from four matches and are yet to secure a victory in the qualifiers.
Eric Chelle is also expected to lead the home-based Super Eagles in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to take place in Ivory Coast.
