NGOs partner to save malnourished children in Taraba

All arrangements have been concluded between T.Y Danjuma Foundation (TYDF) and Amatakhitswen Vulnerable and Less Privilege Foundation (AVLPF) to tackle the rise in the number of children suffering from severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) in Taraba State.
The State Coordinator, TYDF, Emmanuel Ishaku stated this on Monday that the partnership is to address the malnutrition challenge and to raise the hope of children affected and their care givers.
Ishaku expressed concerned over the rising number of children with SAM, saying that despite the fact that Taraba State is blessed both in food production and mineral resources, children in the State still suffer from acute malnutrition.
He further explained that the Foundation is always ready to support in the area of health to save life.
The Executive Director, Wabuji Ishaku Adda commended TYDF for stepping in to support AVLPF to save children suffering from the ailment.
“We are out to support orphans and vulnerable in the society by delivering impactful programs and initiatives that address the multifaceted needs through awareness creation, training and empowerment” she said.
