Nigeria is a zoo country – Akeredolu’s wife, Betty

Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, wife of the late Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has described Nigeria as a ”zoo”.
Akeredolu made the remark on her X account on Wednesday, while comparing Nigeria’s presidential elections to those of the United States.
In her post, Mrs Akeredolu suggested that Nigeria’s political landscape has descended into chaos, using the analogy of a zoo to convey the disorder and unpredictability she perceives within the nation’s electoral system.
She wrote, “Just thinking. 2023 Nigerian Presidential Election Total Votes Cast: 25 million Counting Duration: 5 days.
“2024 U.S Presidential Election Total Votes Cast: 155 million Counting Duration: Approx. 10 hours
“Moral: When dishonesty is prioritized, simple things become difficult.”
However, one of her followers, Paulexy, @paul_ozah commented on the post, saying, “Truth is indeed bitter. I can understand the attacks on her. We are doomed in this country Nigeria.”
Replying to Paulexy’s comment, Mrs Akeredou said, “Very bitter indeed! Who will rescue Nigeria? What a zoo country!”
