Nollywood mourns loss of veteran actor


The Nigerian Nollywood is in mourning as veteran actor Emmanuel France passes away at the age of 80.
The cause of his death remains unknown.
Filmmaker Femi Ogedengbe broke the news on social media, paying tribute to France’s memory and sharing fond memories of their collaborations. Ogedengbe recalled their trip to Tanzania in 2006 and work on films like Cross My Sin, She is My Sister, and The Director.
Born in Ghana, Emmanuel France was renowned for his gentle nature, respect for others, and unforgettable performances. His unfulfilled dream was to produce a film titled Ghana Must Go, a project close to his heart.
With a career spanning numerous films, France’s humor and vibrant personality endeared him to filmmakers, actors, and journalists. His absence will be deeply felt in the entertainment industry.
As news of his passing spreads, colleagues and fans are sharing their condolences and memories of the beloved actor.
