NYSC gives new instruction to prospective corps members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has advised prospective Corps members awaiting their Call-Up Numbers to exercise patience and refrain from following misleading information circulating online.
The advisory comes in response to social media claims suggesting that those yet to receive their Call-Up Numbers should visit the State Secretariats of the Scheme.
In a statement addressing the issue, the NYSC management dismissed the claims as false and the work of mischief makers.
The statement read: “The attention of the management of the National Youth Service Corps has been drawn to misleading information circulating that prospective Corps members yet to receive their Call-Up Numbers should proceed to the State Secretariats of the Scheme. This information is untrue and did not originate from the NYSC.”
The Scheme emphasized that all official communication with prospective Corps members is conducted exclusively through their personal dashboards and NYSC’s verified social media channels, including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Threads.
NYSC further advised affected individuals to remain patient and keep monitoring their dashboards and official platforms for updates, assuring them that their Call-Up Numbers will be issued in due course.

The management urged the public to disregard any unofficial messages and to rely only on trusted communication from the NYSC to avoid falling prey to misinformation.
