Omoniwa Foundation empowers over 500 widows at 4th annual outreach program

The Omoniwa Foundation has successfully hosted its 4th Annual Widows Outreach Program at Ekinrin-Adde, Kogi State on Tuesday. Over 500 widows within the community benefited from this year’s program, which aimed to provide empowerment, hope, and support to widows in need.
The event was marked by an inspiring charge from Pastor Omojarabi who emphasized the biblical mandate to care for widows. Drawing from James 1:27, which states, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress,” the pastor highlighted the importance of feeding and supporting widows as a divine responsibility. He also referenced 1 Timothy 5:3, which calls believers to “give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need.”
Speaking to the widows, the pastor said, “As a church and as individuals, we are called to reflect God’s love by supporting and providing for widows. This outreach is not just an act of charity; it is an act of obedience to God’s Word.”
The Founder of the Omoniwa Foundation Amb. Ademola Omoniwa Moribirin, in his address, reinforced the foundation’s dedication to uplifting widows, acknowledging their vital roles in society and the challenges they face. “At Omoniwa Foundation, we are committed to being a source of strength and hope for widows, ensuring they are empowered to thrive despite life’s difficulties,” he remarked.
The program featured sessions of testimonies, empowerment, and prayers, culminating in the distribution of essential relief materials.
As the outreach concluded, Amb. Moribirin shared his vision for the future: “We intend to expand this initiative to touch even more lives in the coming years, ensuring that widows across the nation feel valued, supported, and cared for.”
The widows expressed heartfelt gratitude for the foundation’s continuous support, with many describing the program as life-changing. The event reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to creating a community of care, faith, and empowerment.
