Ooni of Ife visits Buhari in Daura, tours historic emir’s palace


The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, paid a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State, on Wednesday, November 11.
Ahmad Bashir, a former media aide to Buhari, shared photos of the meeting on X (formerly Twitter), sparking widespread interest.
During the visit, the Ooni, accompanied by his entourage, engaged in discussions with the former President before embarking on a tour of Daura’s cultural landmarks. Notably, the delegation, joined by Buhari, made a stop at the historic Emir’s Palace in the town, underscoring the deep cultural and historical ties between Nigerian traditional institutions.
