A Nigerian man has taken to social media to express frustration after discovering that his MacBook Pro and PlayStation 5 were allegedly stolen from his luggage upon arriving in Nigeria.

Sharing a video on X (formerly Twitter), the visibly distraught traveler narrated how the expensive gadgets, which were confirmed to be in his possession at check-in, mysteriously vanished before he reclaimed his bags at the airport.

According to him, his luggage was scanned and cleared by airline staff during departure from Cape Town, with the MacBook Pro clearly visible on the scan. However, upon arrival in Nigeria, he noticed that the bag had been tampered with.

“This is my bag, a MacBook Pro was removed from here. This lady scanned it. When I left Cape Town, my bag weighed over 19 kg. Now it’s about 13 kg. I’m doing this as evidence in case of legal purposes,” he said in the video.

He also revealed that both of his bags, which were securely locked and tied, had been forcibly opened. Despite the clear signs of tampering, airport officials reportedly claimed the luggage arrived in that condition.

“They opened this bag as well. Both bags were locked and tied. Now they’re telling me that’s how it came,” he added.

The post quickly gained traction online, with netizens expressing outrage over the recurring issue of baggage theft at airports. Many called for increased surveillance, accountability, and stronger measures to protect travelers’ belongings.
