Paul Enenche, wife visit Benue massacre site

Renowned Nigerian pastor and founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has arrived in Yelewata, Benue State, to commiserate with families affected by the recent massacre that reportedly claimed the lives of over 200 residents.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Enenche was seen accompanied by his wife, Becky Enenche, as they visited the grieving community. The couple addressed residents and victims’ families, offering words of comfort and solidarity in the aftermath of what is being described as one of the deadliest attacks in the region in recent times.
Enenche, who revealed that he and his wife had been in Europe when news of the killings broke, said they cut short their trip to be physically present with the people of Yelewata during this difficult time.
“We couldn’t just remain where we were. We had to come here ourselves,” the pastor said during his visit, drawing emotional reactions from those gathered.
The attack, reportedly carried out by suspected Fulani herdsmen, has thrown the community into mourning, creating renewed calls for security and government intervention in the Middle Belt region.
Meanwhile, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to visit Benue State tomorrow, Wednesday, in the wake of the killings. The state government has declared a public holiday to welcome the president and facilitate his interaction with affected communities.
As preparations for Tinubu’s visit continue, many Nigerians are watching closely to see how the federal government responds to the growing insecurity plaguing parts of the country.
