Police rescue ex-AIG’s wife


The Nigeria Police Force successfully rescued the wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, who was abducted at the entrance of her residence in Arepo, Ogun State, last Thursday.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the rescue operation in a statement shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday.
According to Adejobi, the police neutralized the abductors during the operation and recovered the ransom money they had extorted.
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended the swift and strategic response by the police operatives and praised Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, for his leadership and coordination in handling the case.
