Portable alleges kidnap attempt inside First Bank

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has alleged that he was nearly kidnapped inside a branch of First Bank Nigeria during a recent visit.
The dramatic claim surfaced in a video shared by the singer amid ongoing public backlash surrounding the recent arrest of social media critic VeryDarkMan at a GTBank branch in Abuja.
According to Portable, he had gone to First Bank to lay a complaint regarding issues with his account when he suddenly found himself facing what he described as a kidnap attempt by unknown individuals.
“They tried to kidnap me inside the bank,” Portable said in the video, without naming the individuals involved.
He claimed the bank froze his account, which he described as a business account containing over “400 billion naira.” The singer insisted that he has no ties to internet fraud and demanded to be treated fairly as a customer.
“All I did was complain. Is it a crime to speak up? Customer is always right!” he said.
The allegations have sparked mixed reactions online, with many questioning the accuracy of his claims, especially the amount he said was in the account.
