Presidency debunks reports of rift between Tinubu, Shettima, calls it “mendacious propaganda”

The Presidency has dismissed reports of a supposed crisis and rift between President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, describing it as a baseless and malicious smear campaign.
According to a statement by Vice President Shettima’s spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha, the reports are an “illusionary strife” aimed at tarnishing the strong relationship between the two leaders.
Nkwocha emphasized that Vice President Shettima enjoys the full confidence and support of President Tinubu, citing his unwavering loyalty and dedication to their administration’s vision. He highlighted Shettima’s consistent praise for Tinubu, describing him as a “good soul” and a leader Nigerians can trust.
The statement also noted that Shettima’s approach to his role is a welcome change from previous presidencies, marked by public disagreements between vice presidents and their bosses. Instead, Shettima has proven himself to be a true partner to Tinubu, working tirelessly to support his initiatives and vision for Nigeria.
Thediscovererng.com reports that this Presidency’s response comes as Shettima marks his 58th birthday, with Nkwocha’s statement aiming to set the record straight on the harmonious relationship between the two leaders. The statement reassures Nigerians that the reports of a rift are merely “illogical conspiracy theories” with no basis in reality.
